SFLm EXPANDS: BOSTON BIDS FAREWELL AS THREE NEW TEAMS JOIN THE FOLD,

ARTICLE BY ELI DEIOMES [S'cylle Aldmiir] As the Simulation Football League’s minor league system continues to evolve, the SFLm is entering a brand new chapter—one marked by both fond farewells and thrilling new beginnings. With great appreciation for their contributions to the league, we officially announce the folding of the Boston Rebels. Boston’s legacy will be remembered for its competitive spirit, dedicated staff, and the many players who launched their careers wearing Rebel red. We thank the entire Boston organization—players, coaches, and fans alike—for their role in shaping the SFLm into what it is today.

When consulted on her feelings regarding Boston hanging up their cleats for the final time, owner Xena West had this to say: "My husband Alex and I originally approached commissioner Cameron Irvine with the idea for the co-owned franchise before Alex was asked to be commissioner of the SFLm. It was meant to be a shared project and our way of showing our love for the league. But with new circumstances came a change in the franchise - Alex needed to focus on running the SFLm, and so the Rebels went from co- to sole ownership. Now, with increasing responsibilities in my own life, it's time to retire the franchise. The Boston Rebels were originally created to be a breath of fresh air with the hope that it would ignite both new and returning interest to the SFLm. I believe it has done just that."

But as one story concludes, three more rise to take its place. The SFLm is proud to welcome three new franchises into the league for the upcoming season—each one bringing a fresh identity, dynamic leadership, and new opportunities for aspiring SFL stars.
