SFL ushers in new CFB27 era, debuting Season 28
The Simulation Football League and its member teams voted on and approved a transition to CFB27 starting with Season 28, bringing the SFL to current-gen consoles for the first time in league history.
"This is a momentous day in our history," said Commissioner Cameron Irvine. "I cannot thank our owners more for their dedication to the league's past, present and future, the latter of which has never been brighter. We are making investments in every element of our operations and surging into the future with our teams, players and viewers. The SFL only keeps getting better."
The new game brings dynamic weather games, modern presentation and gameplay, the most robust custom playbook system for coaches, complete field and uniform customization suite in-game, custom stadium sounds and more.
The SFL will be putting together blog posts for the transition, the league's third game in its history, here on simfl.net as the process takes shape. Teams will be moving into new stadiums and building new uniforms along the way, while the league will be implementing its branding into the game's graphical suite.
More information about player transitions from 2K4 to CFB27 will be provided when processes are finalized in the coming months.
