SFL Releases Season 26 Schedule

The Simulation Football League is proud to announce its Season 26 schedule, kicking off Friday January 23rd in its 13th year of operation. For the 9th-straight season, the SFL has over 500 active player participants.
"The SFL continues to evolve and thrive despite all of life's challenges," said Commissioner Cameron Irvine. "This is shaping up to be our most competitive season on the field yet and I'm looking forward to reaching new heights with all of our member teams throughout the year."
Action kicks off with the defending champion Vancouver Legion hosting West Division rival Arizona on opening night. Arizona went to defending champion Mexico City in Week 1 of last season and walked away with a victory.
The first Monday night game of the season takes the SFL back to Alaska for the first time since Season 13, where the Anchorage Wolves will host the Miami Stingrays, a journey that spans 4,962 miles.
All teams will play 12 games over 15 weeks, with all teams receiving a bye in Week 8. Three teams have a bye in all the other weeks of the regular season and each week will consist of four games on Fridays, four games on Saturday and one on Monday. Each team has a bye in the first half and the second half of the season.
The Virtual Football Network Monday Night Spectacular will feature both the SFL and YOUFL products back-to-back once the YOUFL season gets underway in late February, with the opportunity for SFL players to win money for their player bank by participating in VFN Bingo, which was first played in the SFL at the 2025 Convention in Baltimore. Each bingo nets $50,000 for winning players. Both broadcasts will produce winnings for all players in both leagues, regardless of whether it is SFL or YOUFL competition.
All teams play six home games and six road games, six games against division opponents and six games outside of division, based on last matchup and last season's finish in the standings. For the purpose of schedule making, Anchorage's leadership was in Queen City last season, Miami's leadership was in Charleston last season and Birmingham's leadership was in Denver last season.
