SFL Power Rankings: What Week is it?

The super bye has afforded me some time in my busy schedule to push this week’s rankings out a little later than usual so sorry to those that have been checking for this drop but also it’s 4 am right now and I finally have a little time to get this together before getting back on the grind. We have a new #1 team this week, votes are splitting at the top and the midseason chaos has begun. Pitt & Chicago are back off their byes to flaunt and hopefully hold their top rankings as early season darlings Detroit are just trying to hang on. Welcome to Week 8-ish.

voting breakdown

What more can I say here? Albuquerque believers will get their next test this week when they welcome #5 Arizona to town. Denver believers are stronger than ever and even include Brett among their ranks but the formulas are not a fan and we’ll see how they fare against a Baltimore squad who may have just lost their hold on the North. I’m surprised Florida is as high as they are after Mexico City dog walked them but also looking at the voting point groupings they’re 50 points off the tier above and 30+ points higher than the tier below so stuck in the mud in the middle sounds about right for them this season.

week 8 bye

#74 Hunter Norwood (0-4)

I can’t think of a storyline for the life of me so I’m just going to take a week off like everyone else. Big games this week with ABQ/AZ, the master & apprentice matchup in MXC/VAN, MIN/DET and the one down below. Bonus points to those that figure out what the record is based on for this section.

week 8(9?) premier matchup

#11 Baltimore Vultures(-3.5) @ #8 Denver Nightwings | O/U 38.5 | Sept. 6th 2:00 PM EST

We got two teams fully on the rollercoaster here and I think Denver about to hit the next drop and the Vultures are on their way back up. The Nightwings have Minnesota’s number but they lost to Carolina? The team that got blanked by Queen City? Baltimore almost stopped D.C.’s 5 wide set that’s been running teams off the field and possibly out of the league(leaving over getting out coached but not stamina or Leadership cheese? But I digress.) I think the 3.5 is not enough but home field is coming back around and Denver’s strength outlook in the community is riding high after beating Minnesota so you gotta play the field a little bit. But yeah, Baltimore strangles them for a 27-13 final.
