SFL Power Rankings: We Made It
Final week. Final edition. We’re finally here. We have an Eastern Division championship on the docket and the winner will be ruining one unfortunate teams’ chances at a postseason berth. We have Vancouver trying to hold on to the West after it looking like theirs to lose. Houston is a trap game away from winning the South with Mexico City close on their heels. D.C. is relying on Baltimore to win of all things to win the North over Pittsburgh who has been given every chance in the world to close it out. Let’s finish strong.

voting breakdown
Houston losing the unanimous vote going into the final week is ominous. The top 4 placement is not secure just yet and Bossier City is playing good enough ball to play mega spoiler and kick Houston into a wildcard berth potentially. Vancouver is in the best position off a quick eye test to take over the top spot if Houston does slip which if that’s the case don’t let me say the math didn’t warn ya.

burnt out
#69 Me (14-0)
After 14 weeks of writing articles, I am worn out on writing. This happens every season but these last few weeks I’ve hit more walls than usual I feel. I don’t know. I also had 13 articles for last season so 27 word documents in the 500-600 word range and I have a novelette of SFL Power Rankings. A novella if I include my Season 23 musings. I’m rambling now but this content vacation is well needed and well deserved. This isn’t a retirement speech; I’ll be back for Season 26 unless work (I was recently promoted) muddies up my free time to write these. If that does end up being the case Power Rankings will live on as I would pivot to graphics but I hope to see all who enjoy my ramblings in a few months’ time.
week 16 premier matchup
#5 Pittsburgh Riverhogs(-4.5) @ #14 Baltimore Vultures | O/U 47.5 | Nov. 2nd 8:15 PM EST
Generally the kickoff games are required watching each week and I tend to lean towards them but with so many teams fighting for playoffs and seeding we’re going to mosey on over to the Northern battle as Baltimore plays their final game at home (I don’t think they can get all the way to #8 at 6-6 but crazier things have happened) and Pittsburgh looks to win their first division title in take two of their clinching scenario. The North has always been Baltimore & DC with the Vultures being the bane of DC’s existence and beating them to roll to multiple division titles. This ain’t that Baltimore though. But it is still Baltimore. With as low of a SOV that Pitt has they really need this win to tie up some stronger tiebreakers and be in that 9-3 pack for a top 4 bye potentially. All I’ll say on the prediction side is Pitt jumps out to an early lead into half and then Baltimore makes them sweat. I don’t want to jinx it any more than that.
