SFL announces Week 14 Flex Schedule

by Cameron Irvine

The Simulation Football League has finalized its Week 14 schedule now that much more of the game ramifications are clear.

Action will start Friday night at 8 pm ET with the D.C. Dragons taking on the Charleston Predators (6-5), with both teams in the Wild Card mix. Houston (5-6) will try and keep its slim playoff hopes alive Friday at 10:15 pm ET needing a win over rival Mexico City, while San Diego (6-5) will host Denver at 10:30 pm ET.

Saturday, Carolina will try and keep its playoff hopes alive by sweeping Baltimore at 1 pm ET. In the evening blocks, Vancouver will hope to improve its postseason positioning against division rival Seattle, the new Pacific Division champs at 6:30 pm ET. If Portland is still in the mix, they'll be fighting for a playoff spot against LA in the same block.

Saturday under the lights, the Central Division winner will finally be decided. For the first time in league history, its possible that a 4-8 team will reach the playoffs by virtue of division win and play as the No. 12 seed. For that to happen, Minnesota would have to top Tulsa and Sioux Falls would need to upset Indianapolis. That would give Minnesota the division on the division record tiebreaker. Indianapolis takes the division with a win. Tulsa takes the division with a win and an Indy loss. Both games will kick off in the 9 pm ET window.

The league will once again host a scenario show, breaking down the remaining eight scenarios left to determine with the three remaining games on the schedule.

Sunday night, Arizona and Florida try to strengthen their playoff seeds hosting a pair of 6-5 teams - Las Vegas and Louisiana, respectively - who are trying to avoid falling into the 6-6 pit of despair. Both those games will kick off in the 9 pm ET block.

Finally Monday night, the highly anticipated matchup between Fort Worth (11-0) and Alamo City (10-1) will decide the South, the No. 1 seed and finalize the playoff bracket. The Artillery are Kickoff is at 8:15 pm ET from Fort Worth, with pregame at 7:15.
