Zolnier Road to the Championship: Week 9

by Cameron Irvine

With most teams over halfway through their season, the SFL has its first look at the Road to the Championship, presented by Zolnier, of Season 21.

Alamo City's strength of victory has them in the top spot, while Seattle's crucial victory earlier this season over Arizona has them in the final wild card bye position.

With Canton's win coupled with Motor City's loss last week, the Classics have re-claimed first place in the North Division. Motor City nestles into the eighth spot behind Atlantic-leading Carolina thanks to the V8s head-to-head win over the Vultures. Carolina's head-to-head over Baltimore is why they lead the Atlantic and Canton's head-to-head win over Motor City is why they lead the North.

Houston and Louisiana are both 4-3 trailing unbeaten division winners and occupy the 10th and 11th spots while Minnesota leads a weak Central Division into the playoffs as a division leader over other teams at .500.

This week, Las Vegas (3-4) and Denver (3-4) meet in a critical showdown Monday to try and get to .500, while both Carolina and Canton try to protect razor thin division leads with victories over Louisiana and Queen City, respectively.
