Ramblers to Detroit, become Maulers

The Simulation Football League has finalized the Indianapolis Ramblers team move to Detroit today, becoming the Maulers.

The Ramblers joined the league in Season 19 as an expansion team, owned by Chad Roland and Adam Wiseman. The team sold last season to Robert Cherry, who now owns the team in part with former Charleston Predators owner Jack Brown, are giving the team a fresh identity and a new path to excellence.

The Ramblers compiled a 25-48 record in Indiana and made the playoffs once, but has not secured a playoff victory since entering the league. Detroit will play in a division to be announced soon and will continue the franchise's rivalry with the Minnesota Legend.

The team will unveil its complete identity this off-season as they gear up for the return of SFL football to the Motor City in Season 25. The Washington Trident organization played Seasons 19-23 in Detroit. A different SFL team previously bore the Maulers name in Minnesota, ironically, from Seasons 3-8.
