The SFL had 21 teams competing from Season 11-13 and 20 teams in Season 14 during its first rebirth period seven years ago - the league had a national television contract from 2019-2022.

Emphasizing quality over quantity this off-season, the league is ready for the next chapter.

Ten teams will make the playoffs next season in a new and improved format:

  • Each division winner is guaranteed a top four seed and a Quarterfinal home playoff game.
  • The top two teams from each division will receive a first round bye.
  • The best four records who do not finish in the top two in their division will compete as the 7-10 seeds in the Wild Card round.

Season 26's Salary Cap is set at 61 million and the roster minimum is 26 players. OL/ST coaches do not count towards that roster minimum, but do count towards the salary cap. The off-season event schedule will be released on Thursday December 4.
