Baltimore, MD named site of 2025 SFL Convention

by Cameron Irvine

The Simulation Football League has finalized an agreement with the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor for the SFL's 2025 SFL Convention. It's the first time the city or the state of Maryland, or the east coast will host the SFL event after previous successful stops in Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, Las Vegas and Cincinnati hosted gatherings of SFL players, coaches and owners around the league.

The event will kickoff the league's 25th Anniversary season July 10-14 and induct the 2025 Hall-of-Fame class.

"We are very excited to have this already so deep in the planning stages before fall, unprecedented for our event," said SFL Commissioner Cameron Irvine. "I'd like to thank Director of Broadcasting Mike Daggs who spearheaded this bid amongst many other efforts made by our Convention planning committee. We have a lot of exciting destinations to get to around the country, but Baltimore's bid is going to be an incredible experience for our community."

The Hyatt Regency Baltimore is a 4-star hotel located in Baltimore's Inner Harbor, just 12 miles from Baltimore/Washington International Airport that features a rooftop pool and bar. SFL events throughout the weekend will take place in the 15th-floor Pisces Room, a 2,600 square-foot space looking out into the Inner Harbor.

Attractions within walking distance include the USS Constellation, the National Aquarium of Baltimore, the Maryland Science Center and Camden Yards, home of the Baltimore Orioles. M&T Bank Stadium - home of the Baltimore Ravens - is less than a two-mile drive from Hyatt Regency.

Federal Hill Park will serve as the location for next year's 3rd Annual Flag Football game. The league is working with prospective airlines on group-rate travel and facilities for its inaugural 3x3 basketball tournament, which will take place the morning of Saturday July 12.
